I Have an 08 veracruz limited with 35K miles and the check engine light is on. My ODB II reader show a code P0011. Can anyone please tell me where the OCV & OCV filter is located, or give a suggestion on how to fix.

There are 2 (one in each head) and they are in the valley under the intake manifold. P0011 I believe is for the OCV in the rear head (near the firewall).






If your Oil Control Valve is clogged after only 35K miles, you must not be changing the oil and oil filter very much (if at all). While cleaning the valve and filter will help resolve the problem for now, it will just happen again if you don't keep your engine clean with regular oil changes with quality oil and filters.

 

Thanks for the info. I change the oil & filter every 4500 miles and have always run synthetic oil. Is there anything else I could check before I spend the $$ taking it to the dealer for service?
