Hi, I am the new owner of a 2011 veracruz limited. I need to change the map light on the drivers side but I am not comfortable with what I am running into in trying to get to the bulb. The car has a separate switch to turn the light on/off so you don't press on the opaque cover to operate the light. I tried to pry the opaque cover off with a small screwdriver and the edge facing the rear of the car does come loose but the front facing edge seems to be firmly clinging to something. The car is new, to us anyway, and I would prefer to not break something trying to fix something.

 

Have you checked you owners manual? Specifically page 7-58?
