Thank You
Thank You
Welcome back Hanky. My research and answer to this is another jury rig solution. take out the radio from the dash area, unplug the RCA cords, wrap speaker cable all around all RCA plugis and secure the wire. plug RCAcables back in, re-install radio unit back into dash and secure dash inserts.DONE. wHAT DO YOU THINK?
It's your vehicle and you should do as you choose.
However, I believe it is the long way around and am not sure it will solve the problem.
When vehicles had DC generators it was common to install a capacitor to filter out the noise from the commutator on the generator. Alternators don't have that problem.
All you would need to do is to connect a noise suppressor (capacitor) . It is a lot easier and quicker,, if it works, again depending on where the RFI is originating.
Something to think about,
Spark plugs didn't always have built in resistors to reduce noise in a radio. Then they came up with carbon impregnated spark plug wires and resistor plugs.
Don't know what is presently in your vehicle , if there are resistors built into the plugs. What do you think?

Questions, always questions,
This sound system,is the interference coming from outside stations or from when you play music from an interior supplied source?
If it is interior, there may something with the system itself. If it is from outside transmitted stations, sometimes when water gets into the antenna mountings/external connections it will diminish reception and introduce local frequency interference that the receiving section picks up.
