Default Side mirror stuck

Hey guys!
New here.
Bought a Veracruz not too long ago.

My problem:
Drivers side mirror is being pointed up. I can move the mirror with my hand manually but once i let go the mirror goes back up as if i had the up toggle switch pressed in.

I've tried, after manually moving mirror all the way down, pressing the down toggle switch. It stops it from continuing up but doesn't come down. I let go the down toggle switch and mirror continues up.

Any ideas?

Thanks!

You will have to take it apart to see what is wrong inside the mirror.
Seems like there is a constant power to move the mirror up??

That's that's a perfect description of the problem, there's always power to the up toggle switch.

Well, seems like the side mirror was smacked then you have to open it up to see what happened inside to cause this condition

I could be wrong on this ,but the mirror only does what it is told to do and it is doing just that.
If the mirror control switch is malfunctioning and always telling the mirror motor to go up ,that could be what is happening.
I would suggest , start checking at the switch and confirm it is not stuck in the UP position. It may look OK physically, but be stuck or broken internally.

Sometimes water gets in there and strange things begin to happen.
