Can anyone give me a heads up on how this is done? I can get the interior door panel off but there seems to be a metal interior panel that the window track is attached to? I don't see how to get in there and replace the handle on my driver's side door. Please help.

same problem here. I removed the front ease to remove panel and faced the metal one... removed all of the bolts... my next guess is the power window motor... since it connects the window somehow. my goal is to change the actuator.

 

It is actually much easier than I thought. I asked the dealer and he explained that in the door jam near the exterior door handle is a rubber cover for an opening there. Remove the rubber cover and there is a screw to undo in there. All you have to do is remove that screw to get the part out. No need to take off the inside door panel at all.
