P0560 Nightmare
Have 2002 XG350L. Keeps throwing a P0560 code. Alternator is working fine (all readings good for voltage and current) and battery charges fine, etc. Was told problem is due to rebuilt alternator Hyundai put in car while still under warranty. BUT just RECENTLY I found a small nick (cut insulation and part of copper braided wire) in one of the wires coming our of the 4 wire connector on the alternator and going to what I would assume is the ECU. Could that small nick be causing the code to be set after the computer is cleared. Also, does anyone know if you can buy the connector (to replace since nick is close to the connector OR if you can replace that wiring harness. Vendor sites and any insight or help would be appreciated. Car is in very very good working condition except for the P0560 code.
Thanks for all. DK.

I had that code some where a number of yr ago...
I do not remember the fault, but the code is for PCM not seeing source voltage..
I would start at alternator lug, measure voltage running, then off to the end of cable where it hits the junction block, and across battery.. then hit each leg of the fuse, then off into the cabin and probe the orange wire at PCM C44-2,,, pin 26
Somewhre along the line you might find a nice volt drop.. then run with it.
