Default Valve train noise on start up after sitting 3 days

After my XG350 sits for a couple of days it sounds as if all the lifters have colapsed when it is started. It takes a couple of minutes for them to quiet down. Of course the dealer says it is normal which is BS.
Anyone else experiencing the same?

thinner oil could have that effect on them.

We have brought the car into the dealer for the past 2 years for oil changes and of course if you drive it everyday you do not get the clatter. I just wanted to know if anyone else is having their lifters collapse after sitting for a few days or is this an anomaly.

It wasn't a problem if the car is driven daily only when it sits and the lifters have enough time to collapse. The problem is the dealers seem to not have the patience to correctly diagnose the problem and do not want to wait the time it takes to see the problem. It would be nice to find a dealer that has a competent mechanic. This is not a unique problem to cars with hydrolic lifters.
