My shop has acquired a 2012 Sonata. The a/c works for a few starts, then it doesn’t. Found & pulled the fuse to check it -not blown! Reinstalled fuse-Air works great for 3-4 starts then quits cooling again. R&R fuse and repeat the last two sentences! Anyone else lived and fixed this purgatory?

 

There is not too much that can be determined by the info you have provided.
There are many reasons an AC system will work and quit then work again. I would suggest you have the vehicle looked at to at least get some idea of what is working and what is not. This can't be done that easily without actually looking at the vehicle and see just what is working and what is not working.

 

Yeah, turn it on and check the pressure of the refrigerant
If low then refill and see if it stays or not

If refrigerant pressure is okay then see if the compressor turns on or not
See if it cycles on and off
