2005 XG350 false P0343 Camshaft sensor code. Won't start.
Hi, I have a 2005 XG350 with less than 90,000 miles and won't start. Turns over okay, new battery. Check engine shows P0343 code repeatedly. Camshaft position sensor A Circuit High Input B1. Replaced the sensor, not easy, and still won't start. I read where some think the timing belt, but the belt looks really good. Prior to it not starting at all it would sometimes take a while to get it started, but once it started it ran fine. If it was a timing belt would it run fine after it finally started, drove it across town probably 20 minutes with no problem? Any idea on what might be happening? Thanks for any help you can offer.
Garry.

The diagnostic code points to a circuit fault.
Means that you need to look into the wiring
Also check to see if the signal is stuck or there is no signal
Do a visual inspection to make sure there are no frayed or chaffed wires
Please note: If you have not changed the timing belt and you have 90k miles on it
Then might be a good idea to change it once you get the engine running again.
