2015 Hyundai Sonata hybrid. Hybrid battery warning light, jerks while driving
Please Help me someone!!!
My 2015 Hyundai Sonata hybrid limited starting giving me a warning light Hybrid system warning! Safely stop and do not drive. Right before the light comes on my car starts jerking and I can no longer accelerate. I have to pull over, place my car in park shut it off before I cab drive again. Only for it to continue. At times I can only drive at 40 mph, if I try to go higher it starts flashing the warning. Took to dealer and they told me I had a p1744 code. They recommended replacing the battery. They claim they test drove it and it was fine . Picked up the car and it's still doing the same thing..please someone tell if they had same problem and what was done to remedy the problem..Thank you in advance

Well they replaced my regular battery, told me it was fine. But when I picked up the car at shop and drove off it started doing the same thing. My question why they replaced my regular battery if it's my hybrid battery light that comes on?
There are quite a few items that work in conjunction with the hybrid battery system. If any one of the items is malfunctioning it will affect battery performance.
Because there is the potential for injury when working with hybrid battery systems, a lot of folks/ places are not equipped to handle problems with them.
We would like to think a dealership would have had someone trained to work on them and knew what they were doing.
Suggest you inquire why they did what they did and have them check it again.. What do you think?

hello, did you fix the problem?
It's been a year on this last thread remark, but I have had the same problem. All false alarms, but occasionally while driving. I had hoped Hyundai would have a recall for this, and a false alarm low pressure oil warning light that seems to be related. Oil pressure warning comes on after hybrid warning resets. Usually waiting a couple of minutes with the engine off resets hybrid problem. But the oil pressure light will then come on for a couple of days and reset itself. I have a lemon that is functional, but will never buy another.
