I believe we would be safe feeling you are not very knowledgeable about cars. If you were, you most likely would have provided some addl info.

Always, year, model, engine runs/doesn't run, put into gear nothing happens , maybe feels like brakes are locked, a little info regarding recent maintenance,so we might have some idea if something came off etc, Hope you got it home or to a shop by the time you read this.
Now that we are interested, would you continue to keep us informed thanks.
