Did the problem just start or did the vehicle have the problem for a while ?
If it started just recently , you might have obtained some petrol/gasoline that contained some water.
To eliminate that possibility, we usually add a container/small bottle of "dry gas", Heet, or any product that contains isopropyl alcohol that will mix with the water and allow it to pass through the system. It is added to the fuel tank. If water contamination is suspected that will usually clear up the problem.

I have a similar problem with my 2016 Tucson 4 banger. I want to clean the plate but do you need a high end scanner to reset the position of the plate to get it to run properly? I don’t have access to a high end scanner to be able to do it. I don’t want to make things worse.
