ac working only on start up and doesn't stop if the car is on. when i turn it off the ac doesn't work. But if i let it for 2-3 hours then i turn it on the ac work again normaly. any one knows the solution of this problem please ?

 

Different year vehicles have different systems.
Need to know what year, manual or automatic climate control,
There are many things that can cause this problem and the only way to pin down the cause will require some testing and gauges to determine the cause.

We will try,

When you say it does not work,
What do you get when you turn it on?
Does the blower motor work ? Yes/no ?
If it does blow , does it only blow warm air?
Has any work been done to the air conditioning recently? If so, by who? and what did they do ?
When it does work, how long before it stops working correctly?
Without gauges to check the level of refrigerant charge, we have no idea if it is under or overcharged.
There are a few sensors, that need to be verified working correctly and this requires a capable scan to to do this.
