Hyundai XG300 Gear Downshifting Problem

Hyundai XG300 Gear Downshifting Problem
While driving my XG300, 2001 Model, the gear downshifted to gear 3 and remained there.
While i tried to upshift to Gear 4 using the Sport Manual system, it did not change. It can only downshift to gear 2 and up to 3.
Can anyone assist with solutions as i am yet to really enjoy the power of the car. I bought the car less than 1 week ago and i am having this issue with it.
