I own a 97 Accent and on Sunday it just stopped accelerating on me when I went to go shift into 4th. We have recently done tune up. We thought it might be coil so we changed that now we are just guessing. It has no spark and not getting fuel. It will turn over but not start. We also tried to use starting fluid but no luck I am lost!! Can someone please help??

ok so what did you all do during this tune up? did u check all fuses and relays?You didnt arc anything off the battery and fry something I hope, You said you have no spark or fuel? check to make sure cam and crank were not not disconected.

 

Well my ex did it and i mean just a normal tune up like plug wires and ect...I think it is a relay or something on the order of that but I also thought it was a module behind coil then I found out that I didnt have one!!!! I mean it has to be a relay or sending unit somewhere to not be getting fuel or spark but I dont even know where to look on this crazy car. Thank You for your reply!!!

this sounds bad. it sounds to me like you have some sort of terminal issue with your car, because not having spark AND fuel, leads me to believe that you have a computer problem of some sort.

 

See I also thought about that can it just be one chip or do i have to replace the whole comp.?
