Mine is a Asta 2010 top model with abs.The car was working fine when suddenly one day while starting the ignition key lost it's spring action and was roatating freely in the lock.On opening the box behind steering wheel where the key goes,it was found that the ignition system was completely broken and all springs and parts were scattered in the box.I was surprised to see this as the car was working fine earlier.I have given the car to Hyundai service center for repair.but I want to know the reason for the sudden breakdown when nothing was wrong with the car one day back.
*One thing to be noted was that while adjusting the steering wheel angel I heard a sound of something breaking inside the box and just after that this problem occurred.Is there any relation??

Anyway, it looks like the ignition switch ... should cost too much to replace
