Smile My humble ride

Hello,

Just bought my 2009 Tucson GLS. 41,000 miles. Think I got a good deal. Love everything except 4-speed transmission and lack of traction control. Otherwise, the dimensions and interior is just what we wanted. But I guess that's OK. Just getting used to how it handles and accelerates. Any tips on getting more power and/or more fuel economy are more than welcome.

More power and fuel economy? LOL.
But seriously, you're best bet is to leave it as factory as possible. For best economy drive it like an economy vehicle... no quick starts n stops, no showing off on the highway, you know the routine. Save the power for when you really need it. Your vehicle will last many many miles if you drive it normally, at least most of the time.

I believe traction control as part of the ESC (Electronic Stability Control) was standard on all 2009 Tucsons. Is there an ESC OFF or a TSC OFF button on the dash left of the steering wheel?

You have a 4-cylinder CUV, not a Corvette. If you wanted more power you should have gotten a V6 Tucson. Forget about power and just learn to drive more efficiently. How you drive has more effect on fuel economy than anything else.

My 2006 GLS (V6 auto) has been one of the best cars I've ever owned. I love it and it has been a great vehicle.
