How many miles on the car? Was the timing belt ever changed?

there are 160000 miles on the car, I am the third owner so I have no Idea if the timing chain has been changed. I have been told it is the fuel pump, I have checked the fuses and relays. When I turn the key on and listen via the gas fill hole I do not hear the pump ticking.

It's not a chain, it's a belt and if it went you will probably need a new engine.
