Just joined the forum and purchased a 2004 Hyundai Accent today. I have driven it 284 miles today and used about half a tank of gas per the fuel gauge. I’ll fill it up tomorrow to actually see the true mpg. Anyway I just wanted to learn as much as I could about this vehicle and the other models that Hyundai has made. This one was purchased as as a pleasure vehicle to lower my annual gas consumption.

How many miles on the odo? Do you have any concerns about the car? Do you turn your own wrenches?

She only has 106,000 miles and everything works as it should so far. Unfortunately I only do basic maintenance although I’ve replaced a water pump before on a 1968 Ford F100 that I owned in 1978.
