Same issue as thread from 3 years ago except mine is a 2015 Hyundai Elantra
Hello,
I was browsing the internet to find if anyone else experienced something similar to what's going on with my 2015 Hyundai Elantra and this forum came up.
I have the same issue that was posted in this thread from 3 years ago.
https://www.hyundaiforum.com/forum/hyundai-elantra-17/battery-engine-oil-light-comes-engine-shuts-off-19625.
I just recently got a brake fluid, oil change and all of a sudden when stopped at a light, engine completely shuts off, then I have to turn it off, and try to get it started a few times, by pressing the gas before it runs like normal. It happens intermittently, not frequently, some days it happens, some days it doesn't. The battery and alternator have been tested, and both are good. Reading through the earlier thread I couldn't gage an exact answer of why it's happening.
I joined this forum to see if I could get an answer, before trying to call Hyundai's Customer Care. It's got over 100,000 miles but runs really well & I've had this car for almost 8 years now. I want to take it to the dealer repair but don't want to pay more than it's value. Any one here had that happen with their vehicle, and what was the fix? Thanks in advance.
