Smartra Immobilisor keys
Hi everyone from Australia.
I am the new owner of a 2007 Elantra SX,(was a used car) which only came with one key. I have aquired a blank of the same kind as the origional, which has a "chip" transponder within the key.
I can get the key cut ok, but I would like to know whether I really need to take the keys and car to our Hyundai dealer for then to use their scan computer, or is there a simplier way as sometimes posted on the internet ?
Does anyone have any experiance with this ?
Our local dealer wants to charge $260 dollars to supply and code one key.
Thankyou....Tom
