Santa Fe Ground Clearance

Santa Fe Ground Clearance
We are thinking of purchasing a 2011 Santa Fe AWD. Can't buy a 2010 here in Texas this late in the model year. Anyway, I am assuming the ground clearance for the 2011 will be the same as the 2010 at about 8.1 inches. This seems to be on the low side of "high clearance vehicles". We really like the Santa Fe but don't know if the clearance is high enough for some very poor roads we want to travel on vacations.
There doesn't seem to be a single answer to "How high is high enough?" Can anyone share their Santa Fe experiences driving off road or on lousy roads?
Thanks.

I havent had any clearance issues with out 07 Santa-Fe. For its class (rav4, crv, edge and what not) It has some of the best body clearance out there. Pretty good for pushing snow in Calgary last winter. You can fit a taller tire on the 16" rims to help out a little, but the 18s are pretty limited in plus sizes.
