2002 elantra short on Signal/light
for a while now on my 2002 Elantra when i use the turn signal it will often turn off the dash lights for a moment (short). Hasn't been a big deal. Last night the dim/lo headlights would not come on, bright works fine. I swapped the fuses and the problem stayed with the lo beams. I am assuming that the problem is in the signal arm. The low beams do come on when i pull the arm forward, and the hi beams come on and stay on when i push it back into the hi beam position.
So my main question is what part do i need. Not sure what you call that part. opinions?
THanks

Hi John,
IF,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,the part that you need requires the steering wheel to be removed,,,,,best to look into what is required before purchasing a part you may not be able to replace without some special tools. If your vehicle has a tilt steering wheel it could require a special tool you most likely won't have.
Sometimes a sw assy can be replaced without removing the steering wheel, but not sure without looking at your vehicle.
Again it might be something other than a switch.
You might consider obtaining an estimate or two before starting the job.
