Default alternator removal

Can anyone tell me how to remove the bottom bolt on the alternator of a 2003 Santa Fe 2.7. the bolt slides out towards the drivers side but hits a bracket for the axle that appears to be bolted to the transmission housing. do I have to pull the axle. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

You probably remove the bolt with the alternator. In other words, just pull the bolt out enough to get it out of the threads but leave the bolt itselfin the alternetor. Then pull the alternator out with the bolt still in it.
