I have a problem with noise coming from my front end. When I go over hard bumps I hear a klop klop sound rather than a more mued thump like it used to do. I have had new struts installed, new sway bars an new brake hardware and still makes the noise. I ave had 3 mechanics check it out and they inspected it including the bearings, bushings, etc and cannot find anything wrong. Now here is the kicker. When I go over the bumps and slightly depress the brake pedal the noise goes away and all I hear is the normal thump. I go back over the same bumps in the road without the brae pedal depressed and I hear the klop klop. I have done this many times with the same results. For the life of me I cannot figure out what it is.

 

When was the last time brake pads were replaced?
I ask this because it sounds like whoever replaced the pads didn't install the caliper slides correctly or didn't replace the parts that prevent the calipers from banging.
