Can I take my Hyundai Elantra for servicing and repairs to a mechanic outside of the Hyundai dealerships? Will it effect the warauntee if I have the car serviced by somebody I trust (as opposed to the dealerships that have gouged and lied to me every step of the way so far -- i don't trust them at all - and I'm sure that if I bring my car for regular servicing to them, I'll wind up paying thousands of dollars every year even if nothing's really wrong)

 

Yes, you can visit the outside vendors for service.. just be sure to keep your receipts in event warranty issue comes up and you may be asked to provide proof of up keep to the vehicle.

There is some things that cannot be service by the aftermarket, as some module info is only accessible with Hyundai equipment... So you have problem, outside vendor not have a program to update a module, on Hyundai franchise has that info to load to your vehicle.

Outside vendors cannot perform warranty repair, or recall.. also if you have auto trans, and choose to have done at local facility, be sure you supply your own ATF.... Most places will fill with Dexron, and you'll cook the trans down the road.
