07 accent 1.6 ge4d won't start after rebuild
Hi all
So I just finished rebuilding my 2007 hyundai accent 1.6gls
Redid the headgasket and valves.
Injectors work
there is spark on all 4.plugs
and air
Timing is dead on
But it keeps just cranking and won't fire once
I've checked all the grounds and connecters. Scanned with an obd tool and there aren't any codes.
Really stumped as to why it won't start up
All I can think is i bent a valve when the head was on with cams and I turned motor over to TDC. Don't remember any resistance and plugs were never in till I did the timing
was set. So there was no compression type resistance to confuse it with. It turned over pretty smoothly with them out untimed. (Cams were timed first and in tdc) before I timed bottom
Will do a compression test tomorrow. As that possibility only hit me an hour ago. and now im panicking lmao
Any ideas what else could cause a no start situation (assuming if valves aren't bent) just to rule out any possible issues
Thanks!

Did you pull any of the plugs to see if they were wet or dry?
The compression test will either make or break the job..
If OK, I would want to know if fuel is getting into the combustion chambers. Did you hear the fuel pump run for a second or two when you turned the key on ?
