2002 accent. Manual transmission wont crank wont start the starter just whines. Seems obvious the starter is bad but when we tried push starting it and dumped the clutch the car made a whining noise like reverse usually does not stop and still wouldn't start. Please help its my mothers car and shes elderly and is in need of it running

 

Check the engine
Make sure it can rotate
If it rotates then check starter
Check powers and ground to starter
If good then replace
Go from there
Checking spark and fuel injection pulse
