2004 accent RPM gauge does not show correct RPM
well it is a long story why i did it so i won't bore you with the details. bottom line, i took apart my 2004 accent dashboard and accidentally touched my RPM gauge, an action that my my RPM gauge to "fall" when i first started the car.
the thing is, it works just fine, but it starts from a very low point on my scale. if i drive like this, the needle goes up as i accelerate just starts at low point.
i believe a picture will help you understand the situation:
i have tried just switching the car off, manually putting the needle back on 0RPM and then start the car. when i do this, the needle shows accurate data when accelerating, shifting gears etc, but when i turn the switch off, the needle falls back to the posotion shown in the picture.
is there a way to reset the needle and and "save" the default setting as it should be?
