hi all
my 06' accent has been having trouble starting every now and again.
it was sent to the dealer a week before christmas and they had it for 3 days and it seemed it was back to normal.
it was about a week after christmas that the problem had started again and last week it just gave up altogether nothing worked,so it went back to the dealer and they said they found the problem and it was down to the immoblizer box and would fit a new one.
i collected the car yesterday and its all happening again today taking a lot of turns of the key to start.
does anyone have any idea how i can sort this out?

 

Any chance of getting it to a different dealer? It sounds like the one you're using isn't too good.

Are there "lemon laws" where you live? In some states, if a problem persists and cannot be fixed by the dealer, they have to exchange the car for a new one.

 

im not sure if we have leemon laws here in ireland,i would love to sort the problem myself with this forums help as i love driving it.
i financed it back in 06 and was my first brand new car before that the cars i had were not much to speak of.
