Go to pure-gas.org for the minority of stations that sell 100% pure gasoline(not 10% ethanol blends). After 6months of using 100% gasoline, our 3 cars obtain 7-8%, 7-8%, & 6% better mpg than using 10% ethanol blends. The ethanol industry & gov't state that 100% pure gas gets 2-4% better mpg due to the lack of btus in the 10% ethanol. However, ethanol is combusted in an engine designed from scratch for 100% gasoline, & is causing the engine to operate outside its most efficient parameters. Quite a percentage of people claim 10+% better mpg, 100% gasoline over 10% ethanol. You should note extra smoothness & possibly a trace more power, using 100% pure gas. My wife, who doesn't love cars or driving, finally has noted her 2008 Accent is running smoother. I note that I don't have to downshift it as often, when negotiating hills. My two cars(24 year old Ford Festiva & 5+ year old Dodge Caliber), both have extra smoothness & a few extra HP. In particular, the Festiva manual engagements are much smoother with 100% gasoline.

The EPA uses 100% pure gas to establish mpg ratings for all gasoline vehicles sold in the U.S. Go to pure-gas.org. Some states & large areas do NOT have 100% pure gas. Many larger cities have no 100% pure gas or very very few stations. If you live in a state without 100% pure gas, & live near its borders, search the pure-gas.org map for possible 100% pure gas stations in the next state. Don't be afraid to change your schedule if a 100% pure gas station is fairly far from you. My town has no 100% pure gas, but there is some in the next town over. In the next city over from there, there is a 100% pure gas station with a good price. Fortunately, my travels take me in that direction.

Default Accent steering

I have a '12 Accent GLS sedan. Mine has weird steering as well. I've been to the dealership three separate times. The first time, they redid the alignment, and he issue persisted. I think it just has to do with wind. Sometimes, the car is perfectly fine, but sometimes, the car will just jerk back and forth.

Just the other day I was at the dealership, and they said that everything was nice and tight and it was aligned perfectly. It drives me crazy. My old subaru was perfect. But with the curb weight of this car being barely over a ton, and a pretty large side profile, it would make sense for a pretty light car to get thrown around by wind. And extremely thin tires with barely any rubber on the road.

The service tech said that the new accents and sonatas are pretty squirrelly with the new electric steering, just naturally.

I drove from Pittsburgh, PA to Jacksonville, FL and got 44.2 mpg on average the whole trip. It cost about $125 for gas round trip.

Great milage James, I would like to pick an Accent up before we go on our vacation. We will be driving a total of a little over 2000 round trip.

If I don't get one we will be taking our 04 Santa Fe awd and the highway mpg on that thing is like 22-24 depending on the wind lol

the sport steering is just slightly tightened for an average driver you would never notice it but if your gona cut through intersections at 40+ and bobbing a weaving through traffic its worth the extra cash
