Default Accent 1.5 CRTD

Hello people, I'm new here so please go easy on me. I'm looking for info about the Accent CRTD. Is it actually as slow as people make out?

i think it depends on what you're looking for from a car. a fast track car? nope move along. a simple economy car? yeah not bad. fuel consumption should be a bit lower than gasoline variants (and my 1.6L accent does well!). your torque is higher than gasoline versions but horsepower is lower. this is very characteristic of diesel engines due to the long stroke/high compression ratio. think of the horsepower as your top speed for a given mass and your torque is how fast you get up to speed.

in other words, this one will accelerate faster than other accents but if you want to drive insane high speeds no its simply not going to do it. well, no accent really will. but as you can see from the above link top speed is slightly over 100mph.

No I'm just wanting something that is reliable and good on Diesel. I have heard the CRTD is very slow.

well the info is there, and slow is relative to the driver. don't know what else you're looking for here.
