Default Battery drain test

Recently checked battery for possible drain from bad electrical so when I removed the POS+ Battery cable and connected my Ohm meter( in series), I noticed 2 wires attached to the battery clamp; a red one to the starter and a smaller black wire. The cable going to the starter had 0.00-0.01 v reading, on the other smaller black cable it had battery voltage reading 12.7v. Any ideas? The battery voltage at idle is 13.3, with a load on it 12.3 (heater lights defogger stereo all on) when at around 1500-2000 rpm the voltage is 13.0-13.2v.When cranking the engine over the battery voltage is around 11v then goes up to13.3v at engine idle.
