No a/c on 2000 Accent! How can I tell if it's the compressor before I remove it? I have pressure on the High side line and when I turn on the a/c in the car, the clutch turns on the compressor but itdoes make a growling noise! Thanks Jeff

 

I got the same problem with my A/C on my 2000 Hyundai Accent. It's got about 20-23 psi of Freon so I'm thinking it's low on Freon. It's either that or maybe it's low on internal oil. I am going to check Pep Boys again to see if they have air conditioning oil and see how to check for it.
