I'm in the market for a new car, and the Accent 3 door is at the top of my list. I would like the 5 speed SE model, but I haven't had a chance to test it.

I drove the regular model automatic, and I was disappointed by the acceleration. The two cars have the same engine, so I'm wondering if adding a manual transmission and a cold air intake will make that much of a difference?

You all have a lot of experience with this, what do you think?


Basically I'm looking for a small hatchback that gets good acceleration, ~on par with a Scion.
