killing ignition coils

Default killing ignition coils

On my 2000 accent it keeps burning out coils ive replaced both of them a few times and its also burning my pocket anyone know what could be wrong?

Heat kills coils. I had similar problems with the honda's doing the same thing's. Another tip, run multiple ground straps off of the negative side of the battery. Test's have shown about a 4 HP increase. The HP increase comes from the ground having a easier time getting to the motor to make a good spark. Check your ground straps to the motor, you might be suprised. Good luck. Clintmeister

Getting a better ground is a good idea, but "Test's have shown about a 4 HP increase" sounds an awful lot like a marketing line from a ground wire seller. Also, make sure all your connections are good.
