leak? smoke?

by my valve cover theyres something leakinga little and it smokes for a while i was just wondering what it is?

Sounds as though your valve cover may be starting to develope a leak. I would guess it's oil your seeing seeping out.

You'd have to remove the valve cover and replace the gasket between the valve cover & the head.
Not too difficult to do, just take your time, get a repair manual from the library or auto parts store.
Read up and again just take your time. Sometimes you'd be surprised just how simple a procedure

Sarge is right your valve pan gasket is shot, same thing happened to mine. It is a simple fix, very cheap. Just unbolt the pan and lift off the gasket. Put the new one on and tighten the pan back down.

The valve cover gasket is probably the easiest gasket to replace on the engine. A few bolts and that's it. Good luck and happy wrenching.
