First off, Hello to everyone...
I am new and this is my first time posting.

I need a little help with My 2002 Accent...

A few months back, the dash lights started blinking every now and then,
they started getting dimmer and dimmer, and now they are out completely.

Same for my dome light and clock on the dash...they both kept getting dimmer and blinking, until eventually they just stopped working.

Funny thing is...every now and then, the clock appears for a few minutes (very faint) and a light or two will come on for a few seconds on the dash.



Any help would be greatly appreciated.

 

sounds like maybe the little dimmer wheel for the interior lights has gone bad. i'd pull that out and test it with a multimeter for resistance. if you can get to a junkyard you can just replace the thing and see what happens.

no prob if you can't get a new switch, you could also try bypassing it since its just a potential variable resistor. if your lights work fine (and on full) with the switch bypassed that would confirm it.
