im having an issue with the engine cutting off even if I try pressing on the gas to keep the rpm up, this happens just after I hear what seems like an electric kind of ticking from behind the dashboard

ANY SUGGESTIONS??

 

Check the Idle air control???

 

Probably the Engine control relay, which is located under the steering wheel and just to the left of the driver's seat.
The relay supplies power to the engine computer, ignition, etc...
(the ticking is the relay operating, or shutting off)
I would check for loose / corroded connections to that circuit, or replace that relay.
