2005 Elantra alarm issue
I purchased a new 2005 Elantra about 5yrs ago. A couple months ago, I let my son use it and when he went to back out, he forgot that my wife's Tuscon was about 10 feet behind it in the driveway. Needless to say, there was a collision. The collision was probably between 5-10mph. Fortunately, he did not get hurt and there was no damage to either vehicle. However, when using the key fob to lock the car & set the alarm, the alarm system goes off after a short period of time. Hitting the key fob button again will stop the alarm but it will then go off within a couple minutes. (not sure of the time from setting to alarm) Now, I can only lock the car & the alarm is not set. I am not a mechanic but do know how to look at fuses to see if they are bad. None were.
Being disabled, I am on a limited budget and can't really afford to have a shop fix the problem so I am hoping someone can suggest a quick, easy solution. Sure I could continue to lock the car using the inside toggle, but I would also like to make sure my car is secure and set the alarm.
Any help or suggestions would be appreciated.

Just a guess, the trunk got misaligned in the accident and the switch that tells the computer that the trunk is closed isn't and the computer thinks the trunk is open and that's setting the alarm off.

2005 Elantra alarm issue
Sorry, my bad. My 2005 Elantra did not back into the other vehicle. My Tuscon back into the Elantra and just bumped the front bumper. As I said, no damage to either car except for the fact of this alarm problem.
