Hyundai Elantra While not much larger than the accent, the Elantra offers similar room, but a sportier look and feel, as well as more power.

Default 2017 Elantra a/c blower dying

I have a 2017 Elantra
I think my blower motor is dying; I'll have it on the medium setting and it will barely blow, I'll crank it up and it will blow harder for a few seconds then barely blow at all. My car has an extented warranty I believe, and it only has a little over 35,000 miles on it; would this sorta thing be covered under warranty?

I have tried emailing my local dealership several times as I am not that got at making on-the-spot decisions, but I never get a response.

Hi Tim,
What should be done is to remove the blower motor and see if it will spin freely by hand. If that is ok ,then we need to see if it will spin as it should when power and ground are applied to it. If it spins as it should ,then there is a problem of power getting to it. That could be caused by a possible poor connection from the control or a malfunctioning control.

why would I do that, I'd rather have someone who knows what they are doing, especially if it's covered under warranty. Does anybody know if this would fall under a warranty replacment?

If you bought the vehicle brand new ,you received papers stating what is covered and for how long. Warranty may only apply to Powertrain . Your papers tell you what is and is not covered.Check them.
