You might want to be careful here, because continuous power means it will be on all the time. Is this what you want?
OR, do you only want power only when the vehicle is running ? There is a difference .

Hi, thanks for the reply. I would need there to be power on all the time, I will also try to see which spare has this too.

Test light. Clip to battery beg or any convenient ground.
Probe to the two test points on fuse. One above each leg of fuse.
If no light on either side then no power to fuse
If lights up both sides then fuse is good
If only one side then fuse is blown..

Is the cam something you will need to turn off when you park the vehicle, because if it requires to be turned off when not in use , it could cause an unwanted battery drain and possible dead battery.

Something to also be aware of, today's vehicles with a good amount of electronics can be affected by "Add On items". Make sure this item will not affect any computer functions. I would check with your dealership service dept before going ahead with this.

There really is no need to have a drive cam, installed with continuous power.. Lots of these dash cam are not what they are being billed as.. I have one installed for almost a yr.. When I get to work, or return home, or go anywhere I turn it off.. It is only on during actual drive time.. Continuous power is useless.. And yes if it cause other issues with say you onboard computer, you will loose your warranty... Ask yourself is it really worth it.

I would "guess" it depends on how you drive , where you drive and when as to whether it would be worth the trouble.
Grant you, some situations could benefit from having a record of what might have happened.
If you feel it is important enough to have this info, by all means go for it, but there are some conditions that you need to be aware of so you don't invite problems up the road.
That is why I asked some of the questions and personally, I believe it is a good thing you are doing some research on the best way to handle the installation.
Just do the whole job not only part of it and the more you learn the better your decision..

You are incorrect. The purpose for constant power on a modern dash cam is for parking mode. If your car is parked and someone hits it while your in a store and the drive away you have the footage to go after them. Without the parking mode feature your dash cam is only partially useful. My dash cam has this feature and my 2014 hyundai had no issues with it and now my 2020 hyundai has the same dash cam installed the same way and still no problems. You use fuses that operate this that are not critical to the vehicle like the trunk or power windows. So the worst case scenario is a fuse blows has no impact on drivability. These fuses also are not going to affect them computer or modules of the vehicle.

A little FYI,

Most vehicles manufactured after 2008 have a series of networks. These networks are composed of groups of modules that constantly communicate with one another.

IF something is added ,altered or removed in one of the networks, there now is a communication problem. The problems can range from certain functions not working to a no start condition. When the vehicle operator requests heat for example the old way of the wire from the switch to the blower motor no longer exists. There is a module that relays the message to certain components to have the blower motor operate. The module is designed to react to any variation of voltage to prevent electrical damage to the system,,, so it doesn't work anymore and because communication is affected, some other functions also are affected and a can of worms has been opened.
The ol days of just adding "stuff" can create all sorts of problems and if someone has to get paid diagnostic time and correction ,it gets pretty expensive only to find an unauthorized "add on" has caused the problem.
