Hello everyone,

I have a Hyundai Elentra 2014 and I wanted to install my convertible car seat for my newborn but I could not find the LATCH anchors which are supposed to be between the seat back and seat cushions unlike below image:

I wonder if it possible that my car doesn't have the LATCH system installed? because I looked everywhere and couldn't find them.
however there are two tiny holes in each side of the backseat

but as you can see there's nothing attached to them!
There's no anchor position indicator there as well.

Am I missing something?

Is that the center position of the rear seat or the outside positions?

 

It is the outside position

 

The hooks should be between the seat back and seat bottom. You don't look for them in the trunk.

 

Yeah I know it's between the back and bottom seat but as you can see in my second image there's nothing there!

I've checked with Hyundai support and it seems that some of their cars don't have the latch system which is kind of weird!

 

Where are you? In the US? I believe all 2014 Elantras in the US have LATCH. Are there little plastic circles on the seats like this:


If not, there your car does not have the LATCH anchors. And yes, that would be kind of weird.

 

No I'm not in the US, I live in Iran. The car does not have these symbols on the seats unlike what is said in the car manual! I'm disappointed because it costs nothing for the car manufacturer to include these feature in all their cars but they refuse to.

Thank you all for your help. I'm trying to make one myself (taking all the precautionary and safety measures) to see if that fits in to my car, I already have a sketch:
