Default Cooling fan not working after water pump/ timing belt change

Hi there,

I’m a newbie here.
I own Elantra HD 2009.
I recently replaced water pump, timing belt and ac belt change.
Everything went successful except I had some bubble in the system, but I got rid of bubble next day.

After replacement, I started car and turned on the heat but Cooling fan does not come on even after 30min of wait.
Temperature indicating about 40-45%. Cooling fan turns on with A/C.

I’ve been driving for 2 weeks and temp still indicating in same range and I don’t have any other symtoms of overheat.

I just wonder if there is something that possibly could go wrong with parts replaced above, or engine wasn’t hot enough to make it turn on.

I had 08 Civic Si before and cooling fan turned on in less than 10min.

If you have any thoughts or had similar symtom, any comment would help.
Thank you!

Sometimes more can be answered with questions than an incorrect assumption.

It would help if you could tell us why you replaced the water pump.

Ten minutes is pretty quick for a cooling fan to come on, there I would suspect could be a problem.
Since the fan comes on with the A/C it confirms the motor is capable of working.
Most cooling fans don't come on until an approx temp of over 200+ degrees F is reached.
If the original water pump had a problem and the cooling fans came on much sooner , it might confirm the coolant sensor is functioning and you might be assuming something is wrong when it might be functioning normally.

I had timing belt replacement due so I changed all the belts and water pump together.
I found some videos on youtube, with same vehicle, the fan came on in less than 30min of idling with heat on.
So I was thinking if there was was something could have disturbed.
Thanks for your comment Hanky

What was the ambient temp of the cars in the videos you saw?
Makes a difference in how fast the fans turn on.

Does the fan not turn on at all?? Even when the engine reaches operating temp??
Would check engine coolant temp sensor?
