Default Passenger seat weight limit for seat belt warning

Does anybody know (or have this issue) what the weight limit is for the passenger seat before the fasten seat belt beeper goes off?

I have a 2019 Elantra SEL and have had it for about 2 months.

at random times, WHILE I'M DRIVING, the fasten seat belt alarm will start chiming when there's nobody in the passenger seat. I may, however, have random items on the seat such as my Kindle, Water bottle, jacket, and gym bag.

today, all I had on the seat was my phone and my Kindle and the alarm went off.

My bigger issue is that the alarm will go off minutes after I've already been driving. the only way to shut it off is to either clip in the seat belt or stop, turn off the engine, then start again. is this a sensor calibration issue or something?

Same issue. Apparently nobody has any issues with any of their Hyundai's because every forum I visit you get no response from anyone

Exclamation weight limit passenger seat belt

This is a brand new car and is covered under warranty. Take it to the dealer or Hyundai service center and have them check your SRS safety restraint system. Do not give them any money. This is a covered system and probably has a short or faulty sensor. This sensor arms the passenger side air bag and protects your passenger. If you need to lock the seat belt to keep the alarm from going off do so. Do not let anyone sit in the passenger seat till the problem is resolved ! The tech will plug into the OBD2 port and read the SRS codes and find the fault. When you turn the key to the on position you should see an SRS light . When you start the car this light should remain lit, alerting you of a fault code in the SRS.
