Default 215 45 17 tires..

Oem kuhmo tires, best replacement brand in a 215 45 17 ??

I'm not impressed with this brand of tire. Thier so dam bad I never drove my car in the winter due to no traction and I find the ride and handeling on this low profile tire dont match my expectations for ride on a smooth surface.

So in going forward, I have too options, replace the 17 tires with a better brand to get the handeling and better ride possible in a low profile tire, or drop down to a 15 rim with a larger side wall to gain ride quality at the expense of handeling..

I dont drive this car hard, its strictly a point a to b, but when I do like to wind up my ET, the 17 in tires are not matched to my ET handeling ability.

Its a fun car to drive for sure, if by replacing the stock 17 in tire with a better brand in a 17 tire, Can I gain better ride quality?

Or is it possible to get a better quality ride in a 15 in tire that has the abillty to match the handeling of a low profile tire?

Personally, I find a better 17" tire. I think the Continental ExtremeContact DWS and the Yokohama ADVAN S4 are 2 good tires worth you looking into.

thanks...copper zeons rs3a, nitto tires, or. set of kia rims with good year eagel tires or Michelin mmx 4 primacy tires or kinda were I'm leaning towards..I did not get all the correct names for each brand of tire correct...but I'm not sold on a tire thats a combination of tread patterns..

copper and nitto tires have served me well in full size cars and light trucks..

Yes, they will fit. The speedo will be off but it's not that much. But if you are looking for more sidewall height, you are only getting 4mm more height (3/16 of an inch).
