Driving Lights?

Driving Lights?
I apologize if this was already asked but I didn't see anything. I have a 2010 Touring GLS model that does not come with the lower driving lights. I would really like to have the OEM lights installed. Does anyone know if this can be done? I know that there is a question about the switch, the switch in the SE model is in the head light control lever, but I'd be willing to just have a switch put in the open spot I have next to my esc switch.
Thanks

Yes, it can be done. As for the location of the switch should be perfect. Remember to tie the electric to a relay and have the power to the relay series to the relay coil. Do not tax any circuits.
In other words the main power from the battery to the contacts of the relay, The coil to your switch and the coil power from the off line power circuit of the key.
These lights if left on will drain your battery very fast.

Thanks for the info DrD gonna see about getting the OEM lights and hook them up. I figure if I have the same wiring harness as the SE model then everything should hook up and the only issue I'll have is for the switch. Thanks Again!

NAPA and Hella make kits for the wiring. The oem bulbs will need specific connectors. They are available only as part of the harness I believe. The solution to that is working with a parts store or department to find a plug that fits. I have seen this done on 2010 Sonotas and the plug turned out to be a transmission control connector for a GM pickup. Part Number was AC Delco PT120.
