Default rear cargo screen cover gap

just a quick question i got a rear cargo screen for my 2012 hyundai elantra touring and got it mounted but there is a gap of about an inch or two between the back of the rear seat and the cargo cover itself is this normal or did i get the wrong cargo cover this is an oem part.any help is appreciated thank you

It's normal, mine came with the car and there's about an inch back there.

The gap is there so you can pass the top tether of a child seat over the seatback, and attach it to the anchor behind the rear seat. So there IS a reason for the gap...
