Angry stopped running

On my way home yesterday and my 2007 entourage just stopped running . I was pulling away from a stop light so I was accelerating at the time had a little shudder then nothing. Tried to start it but it just turned over slow .
I am a little afraid that it may be the timing belt but I figured I should check here before sending it off to a repair shop

This might help if it applies.
Do you have any idea when the timing belt was last replaced?
The recommended interval is approx every 60,000mi.

If it is the belt that broke, there could be some costs involved to correct what damage might have occurred.

A charging system /battery problem could also produce this type problem.

It is probably the original at 120000
I am hoping that at worst it only jumped throwing the timing off but not taking the valves out.
I have had a lot of electrical issues since I bought it with 100000 on it so I may get lucky and that's what it is .

If you would care to share some of the electrical issues, maybe we can offer some suggestions that might save you some trouble and $$$.
Do you do any of your own work?

Biggest problem has been ground wires . The were pretty much all loose and a few were just dangling ,I have had to replace the alternator and battery.
More recently I have had a problem with trying to start it and when I turn the key nothing happens .A couple times when I moved the shifter it would start so I replaced the neutral safety switch but that did not help .I have been considering replacing the ignition switch and then this happened .

If you can , invest in a good test light or multimeter. The test light can provide a quick visual answer if power or ground is a problem. It is unusual for ground connections to become loose, most likely someone was in there and didn't tighten them correctly after cleaning them.

We can explain a simple test to determine if the no start is ign sw, connections, starter relay, starter solenoid or even starter itself. Interested ?
