Most decent shops will attempt to help you out once they understand the circumstances.
Is there anyone in your neighborhood that might recommend a shop to at least come over and get it to start so you can at least get to the doctor and bring it back to them for addl follow up work when you can. They might not be able to spend a lot of time, but hopefully get it to start.
Most business folks realize they will sooner or later be in situations similar to yours and will try to help.
